Testosterone Replacement Therapy
At Alamo Primary Care, we understand why testosterone matters to men. It helps maintain muscle and bone, supports red blood cell production, and plays a part in energy, mood, focus and libido. Levels fall gradually with age, and for some men they drop low enough to cause real symptoms.
Low testosterone is confirmed with a blood test. When it is, our membership covers everything around your treatment for one monthly fee, with your therapy monitored closely for as long as you are on it.

- Testosterone prescription management, including initial prescription and ongoing 90-day e-prescriptions as appropriate
- One-on-one self-injection training
- Direct access to your provider for questions and treatment-related concerns between scheduled visits
- Ongoing treatment monitoring, side effect management, and evidence-based clinical guidance throughout your therapy

We are thrilled with our first visit here. Everything moved very quickly and efficiently, as they seem to have a very effective team of employees. The appointment lasted approximately 1 hour, and that included new patient intake forms, vitals, seeing the doctor and getting labs done. I love how fast the process went, while also feeling seen, heard and feeling like our concerns were valid and taken seriously. The receptionists were all very friendly, inviting and helpful, including Delilah, who checked us out and set our next appointment. Finding a new primary care provider can be quite overwhelming and time consuming, but not here, and the services offered go above and beyond anything we expected. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Vishal. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable from the check in with the ladies up front to the medical assistants in the back! He talked to me, not at me. He listened to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions, and made me feel validated. He came highly recommended and I never felt one ounce of regret. Very nice customer service it was a very pleasant visit of what I was dreading to be bad news. Every single nurse had a great attitude and made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I’m glad I found this place and it’s only 5 minutes away from me. Plus they do IV therapy!!! Also the receptionist were awesome Andrea, Jen, Delilah were so nice to my kids they gave them Christmas light up necklaces because my kids asked for stickers. Great people

No. The membership covers your visits, lab review, prescription management, injection training and provider access. The medication itself is a separate cost.
How is low testosterone diagnosed?
With blood tests, usually taken in the morning when levels are highest, alongside a review of your symptoms and history. A single number on its own isn’t enough to start treatment.
Is Biote only for women?
No. Biote is available for both men and women, and every plan starts with a hormone lab panel and a consultation with your provider.
Are there side effects?
Hormone therapy can affect things like red blood cell counts, skin and sleep. That’s why treatment includes regular follow-ups and lab monitoring.
